Remembering Pearl Harbor (Executive Producer)
In honor of the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor in 2016, LIFE VR and TIME produced this game-engine run, interactive, room-scale virtual reality experience that takes you back to Dec. 7th, 1941 to witness both the devastation of the attack itself as well as life on the home front.
The experience allows users to explore a fully interactive, photo-realistic 1940s home on the outskirts of Chicago while they listen to FDR deliver his 'Day of Infamy' speech on the radio, on the day and time civilians on the home front would have heard it. They then travel further back in time to witness the attack on the harbor from afar, and finally travel to the harbor itself to experience the aftermath. Remembering Pearl Harbor is a historical and educational experience meant for audiences of all ages, and is narrated by Lt. Jim Downing, one of the oldest living veterans of the attack.
Remembering Pearl Harbor was exhibited at Newseum in Washington, D.C. and at The Intrepid in New York City.
